Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties

The SMART Reading Metro Area team implements SMART Reading and raises funds to support SMART Reading in the Portland Metro area. In 2019-20, we served 3,525 PreK through third-grade children with the help of 1,603 local volunteers. We are focused on recruiting more volunteers and establishing strong financial support among our communities to ensure we can continue this important work of empowering local children through reading.
