Under One Roof:

SMART Reading Headquarters and Book Bank Warehouse Consolidate Operations in New Portland Location 

SMART Reading’s Portland offices are moving into a new statewide headquarters: 480 NE 9th Ave, Portland OR, 97232 (the Bison Building). 

Since the Children’s Book Bank and SMART Reading merged in 2022, we’ve had two locations in Portland, The Book Bank warehouse in Northeast Portland and SMART Reading’s statewide office in downtown Portland. We are thrilled to now come together under one roof! This move allows us to streamline our operations and have a beautiful, functional space for hosting volunteers and community members.

The move is happening in phases:  

• Week of Feb. 24: Book Bank completed move and reopened at new location!
• Week of Apr. 21: Statewide headquarters moves from downtown to new location

We can’t wait for you to see our new space!
