The Gorge Speakeasy is a monthly storytelling event at The Ruins that gives back to community nonprofits. They celebrate a local organization and theme each month, with 8 volunteer storytellers to share a story on the theme on stage. In January, SMART Reading is the beneficiary! Everybody can participate in the fun by sharing written anonymous stories read by emcee Angie Marie between storytellers. In lieu of an event cover, audience members can donate any amount to the cause of the night. With local brews at the bar, raffles for donors, and “I can’t believe that happened” stories, this event is a can’t-miss!
